This project was the first of my second year and the brief was to develop a new art gallery on the Syracuse University campus along with offices and cafe spaces. My operations were largely formal at first but evolved into a series of strategies for dividing the space and creating a clear path. The strategy involves a scalar gradient of rectilinear forms that are punctured and attached through curving voids. The voids connect the spaces as well as provide a large open space for the public while the offices and interior programs reside in the remaining rectilinear forms.
